Well, this season started with a spiral fracture-something from our Alpha Dog Balu, in other words: he broke his leg;-( That pretty much spoiled our breeding plans due to the time-consuming therapy for our dog. We took this opportunity to decide we´re going to hatch "All Year Round" from now on. Berta ist unsere Erste Glucke, sie ist Schwarz-Gelb-Columbia. Sie hat die unglaubliche Rekordzeit von über drei Monaten geführt, Berta war ne Supermamma. Auch heuer wurde sie bereits gluckig, aber Hilde war schneller - da hieß es dann: ab zu Duncan;-) Wenn Berta nächstes Jahr wieder Küken möchte darf sie nochmals ran. Sie ist außerdem eine von den alten Hennen, Berta ist wunderschön und sehr beliebt bei den Jungs.

Burgi ist als dickste Junghenne relativ leicht zu erkennen;-) und vom Farbschlag Dunkel. Burgi ist eine unauffällige Henne. Sie ist wunderschön befiedert, frech beim Fressen und läuft immer im Rudel mit. Durch die starke Ähnlichkeit zu Walli und Irmi kann sie aber leicht verwechselt werden.

Here we have solid-colored birds in: Black, Blue and White (Splash and/or White White Columbian), Red Shouldered and non-Red Shouldered (Orange Back), including Birchens.

Walli ist unsere dritte Dunkle Junghenne aus Herborn. Sie hat sich heuer mit der Hildemaus zusammengetan und die Kobolde großgezogen. Walli ist eine super soziale Henne und nur sehr schwer an der Flügelfarbe der äußeren Flugfedern von den anderen dunklen Hennen zu unterscheiden. Sie ist Jahrgang 2004 und kommt von Anja.
